Our lives are full of many and important things. We’re busy. There are so many practical things to take care of like work, parenting, laundry, dinner, dishes, sleep . . . it goes on and on.
Who has time for kindness and why does it matter?
Sure, most of us don’t go out of our way to make others’ lives more difficult. We view ourselves as decent people who hold the door for those coming in behind us. We even occasionally let someone in front us when stuck in traffic. And sometimes, on a really good day, we don’t even hang up on the telemarketer who calls during dinner, but politely say, “I’m not interested” instead. What more do we need to do and why?
That’s what I want to find out. I hope you’ll join me on the journey.
I’m Beth, mom to twin girls (age 9), wife to Chris. I’m learning what it means to be kind both inside and outside of my home.
